ABB has started to write its history in Brazil in 1912. It was a good start indeed: Supplying technology and enabling the execution of one of the most celebrated postcards of the country - the sugar loaf cart. From then on, the entire group journey has always been connected to the several phases of the country's development, helping to register the history of great works.
Present in around 100 countries, meeting the local needs, ABB has adopted as a world policy guideline: the technology transfer. This is how the company has established itself in Brazil, installing its first factory, fifty years ago. Since then, ABB has been responsible for pioneering initiatives, searching for knowledge, producing solutions in the industrial and energy segments, leveraging Brazilian industry definitively towards higher levels of autonomy, performance and competitiveness.
ABB has contributed to turn Brazilian industrial park into one of the most competitive. Nowadays, it relies on 6.5 thousand employees divided among the 8 units spread throughout the country.
